The Society was formed in 1999 and at that, formed as part of the Great War Society in the United Kingdom. It was formed by like minded people, mainly from military backgrounds from both British and Irish armed forces. However, the Irish Sea caused many logistical problems and so it was deemed that there were enough members to'go our own way'. This we did and have never looked back with many of the original members still enthusiastcally involved to this day.
Our members are from all over the island of Ireland and we regularly attend venues on both sides of the border, as well as in other parts of the U.K.
