Review of 2010
1. Caerlaverock Castle, Scotland
29th and 30th May: We will be joining forces with the "Gordon Highlanders 1914-1918" ww1 group for this event.
5th and 6th of June: In aid of the Veterans Hospital. Multi period event with possible Trench in place.
3. Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland
26th June: Armed Forces Day event and the I.G.W.S. have been invited to attend.
4. Barryscourt, Cork
3rd and 4th of July: Last year proved to be an excellent event and we have been asked to go back this year.
5. Harthill, Scotland
10th and 11th of July: Multi-period event with extensive Trench works in place. This is new event in Scotland and we have been invited. Once again, we will be joining forces with the "Gordon's.
6. Portstewart, Northern Ireland
31st of July and 1st of August: On the north coast next to the beach. Trench and gun emplacement will be provided. We have been involved in this even in a small way in years gone by; it’s a very nice friendly event.
7. Cork City Gaol, Cork
7th and 8th August: A new show in a favoured venue where the Irish Great War Society will present a static display of ww1 memorabilia.
8. Fort George, Scotland (Cancelled Beyond our control)
14th and 15th August: This is for 'Historic Scotland' and is a prestige event. We will be joining forces with the "Gordon’s" ww1 group and any one with "jock" gear this is the event for you.
9. Salute, Dublin
28th and 29th August: This is the annual HOME event and usually the last of the season. Lets make this a good get together in case it the last event of the season.
10. Fort Camden, Cork
25th and 26th September: A first visit to this location with our static display of Great War relics.
11. Ennis Cathedral, Clare
11th November: It is a great honour and our sincere pleasure to have been asked to be the 'Guard of Honour' at this year's Remembrance Day service at Ennis Cathedral.
12. IGWS Remembrance weekend displays
13th November: The IGWS will have a presence at two events on this day; the Bishopstown Library in Cork and at the National Museum in Collin's Barracks, Dublin. Our displays are in support of both organiser's events for Remembrance weekend.
